Pascoal Piress short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Nuno Onofre to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Maxial FC's zone, Pascoal Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Onofre came out of the goal and Pascoal Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pascoal Pires who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Nuno Onofre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Maxial FC's zone, Claudemiro Gentil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Onofre came out of the goal and Claudemiro Gentil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Pascoal Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolt United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascoal Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeferino Rios in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hermano Benevides hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Murilo Soveral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Nunes having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascoal Pires got free with Nuno Onofre in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
