Maxial FC's Nuno Onofre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Maxial FC from getting a goal against them. Hélio lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Onofre having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, SC Parroselos's Miguel Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Onofre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, SC Parroselos's André Santiago tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Maxial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Noronha to maneuver through the defense. Zeferino Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. José Taborda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeferino Rios struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. José Taborda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maxial FC. José Taborda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Soveral's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. If Zeferino Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Murilo Soveral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maxial FC's goalkeeper Nuno Onofre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélio lago in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Onofre saved Maxial FC from getting behind. Maxial FC's Nuno Onofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio lago in the 36th minute of play. When SC Parroselos's Miguel Lopes, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SC Parroselos. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Gil Infante fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Parroselos's protests and gave Gil Infante a yellow card for diving instead. Gil Infante hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. José Taborda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Soveral's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Maxial FC's Hélio Ruas got a free kick in the 56th minute. SC Parroselos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Santiago in the 59th minute. After taking down the ball on SC Parroselos's corner André Santiago fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nuno Onofre quite easily take care of the ball. If Miguel Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Maxial FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio lago came free, but Nuno Onofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With splendid footwork Murilo Soveral arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-1 by the left pole in the game's 73rd minute. With 90 minutes on the clock, Isidoro Caeiro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maxial FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! The referee gave SC Parroselos a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by André Santiago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maxial FC's Nuno Onofre. 1-1. In the 96th minute, Miguel Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 98 minutes of play, SC Parroselos's Hélio lago made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Onofre was left in no man's land by his defense there!
