Luís Nascimento's late challenge caught a Galifonge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Luís Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gustavo Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Miranda having to interfere. Castro FC's Bento Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Castro FC from getting a goal against them. During the 11th minute of the match Luís Nascimento completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Luís Nascimento a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Luís Nascimento hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Afonso Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Galifonge getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Luís Almeida hit a great ball. Galifonge's André Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Carneiro in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Carneiro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Aleixo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. André Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Castro in the 31st minute. Gustavo Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Castro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Miranda having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Afonso Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Carneiro got free with André Aleixo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonso Carneiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of André Aleixo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Galifonge's Nuno Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Rui Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Miranda having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Galifonge's goalkeeper André Aleixo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Carneiro. When Rui Castro came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Galifonge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Castro couldn't finish the play. Bento Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Castro in the 91st minute of play. Galifonge's Rui Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Gustavo Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galifonge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. There was no doubt that Galifonge were the better team. Galifonge's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
