Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rui Campos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Rui Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Peseiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algar's Nivaldo Peseiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Campos in the 12th minute of play. When Castro FC's Rui Campos in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Algar's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Algar's Nivaldo Peseiro got control of the ball when Rui Campos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Salvador Jordão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Castro FC's João Pinho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Algar. Nivaldo Peseiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Campos in the 29th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Algar's Quintino Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bento Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Castro FC's zone, Basílio Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bento Miranda came out of the goal and Basílio Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th match minute, Castro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Coelho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Brito in the 41st minute of play forced Castro FC's goalkeeper Bento Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Vieira during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Algar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Nivaldo Peseiro had great luck who in the 48thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rui Campos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quintino Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Castro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Quaresma who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Quaresma got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bento Miranda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rui Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rui Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Basílio Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Castro FC's Cristiano Pinho got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 87th minute of the match Castro FC got a corner. Algar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Pinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Algar's zone, Rui Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nivaldo Peseiro came out of the goal and Rui Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Algar's goalkeeper Nivaldo Peseiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Jordão during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Algar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Jordão to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Jordão kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Carneiro in the 95th minute of play forced Algar's goalkeeper Nivaldo Peseiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
