In the 8th match minute, Falagueiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Bessa to maneuver through the defense. Celso Costa, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jacinto Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Celso Candal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Candal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Regalado kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Heitor Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filinto Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Horácio Sacadura sped through Falagueiro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Heitor Amaro. After having played for 39 minutes, Domingos Regalado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesquita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Regalado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mesquita FC's Horácio Sacadura in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Falagueiro FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Alberto Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Mesquita FC's goalkeeper Celso Candal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Moutinho. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Jacinto Moutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Candal having to interfere. Isidro Cavaco kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Jacinto Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Sacadura in the 67th minute of play forced Falagueiro FC's goalkeeper Heitor Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Cavaco charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Cavaco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Mesquita FC got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Cavaco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Sá in the 92nd minute of play forced Mesquita FC's goalkeeper Celso Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Moutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Candal having to make a save. The Falagueiro FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mesquita FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Mesquita FC.
