Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when José Gueifão made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Aparício Madruga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foupana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aparício Madruga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Saúl Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Rui Gueifão in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Egídio Cerqueira hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Rui Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saldonha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saúl Jesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rui Gueifão got free in front of the goal in the 30th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Saúl Jesus was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Foupana's goalkeeper Saúl Jesus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Guerreiro. After a defensive mix-up in Foupana's zone, Jorge Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saúl Jesus came out of the goal and Jorge Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Borges having to interfere. José Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Joaquim Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foupana. Diogo Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Saldonha FC's Joaquim Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aparício Madruga in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Saldonha FC booed when Foupana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jorge Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aparício Madruga in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquim Borges, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aparício Madruga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saúl Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saldonha FC's Joaquim Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Saldonha FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute of the match Foupana got a corner. Saldonha FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olívio Estrada ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Olívio Estrada almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Saldonha FC's Joaquim Borges did a great save. After 72 played minutes Foupana got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Resende. If Jorge Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saldonha FC's Rui Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saúl Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Gueifão in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute Jorge Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saúl Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saúl Jesus having to interfere. The Saldonha FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Foupana to win.
