Caio Semedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Campelo in the 3rd minute of the match. João Valentim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angélico Linhares in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind AS FUTEBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Caio Semedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AS FUTEBOL CLUB's Caio Semedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Campelo in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Raimundo Salgueiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Semedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Semedo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Queijas's goalkeeper João Valentim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Correia. AS FUTEBOL CLUB's Caio Semedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Campelo in the 30th minute of play. If Leonel Campelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graciano Mourão's late challenge caught a AS FUTEBOL CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Graciano Mourão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AS FUTEBOL CLUB booed when Queijas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graciano Mourão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AS FUTEBOL CLUB's Salvador Quintas got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, AS FUTEBOL CLUB's Angélico Linhares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Queijas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Graciano Mourão hit a great ball. Humberto Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Valentim having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Raimundo Salgueiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Queijas's Leonel Campelo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Raimundo Salgueiro in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Caio Semedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 75 played minutes AS FUTEBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Quintas. Raimundo Salgueiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Caio Semedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Queijas's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Correia came free, but João Valentim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Angélico Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Valentim was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 84 minutes in the game, Raimundo Salgueiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Caio Semedo having to interfere. Caio Semedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queijas. After 94 played minutes AS FUTEBOL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Durval Fagundes. In the 96th minute, Salvador Quintas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio Semedo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ricardo Peralta.
