The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Constantina getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Mariano Santos hit a great ball. Adérito Figueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristiano Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Adérito Figueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristiano Cabral came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fernandaires's Adérito Figueira. But to his dismay, Adérito Figueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Pedro Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordão Bentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cristiano Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jordão Bentes to strike the kick off in the second half. Fernandaires's Leonel Conde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Fernandaires from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, Constantina's goal looked a bit too open when Jordão Bentes came free, but Cristiano Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fernandaires's zone, Lourenço Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Conde came out of the goal and Lourenço Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fernandaires's goalkeeper Leonel Conde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Fernandaires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Furtado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adérito Figueira in the 77th minute of play forced Constantina's goalkeeper Cristiano Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordão Bentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Falcão scored 2-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Cabral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adérito Figueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Cabral having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jordão Bentes in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
