Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fábio Lages got the match started through his kick off. Paulo Guarda's late challenge caught a Fontao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Guarda helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Cheira FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Guarda. When Fábio Lages came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Fontao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Lages couldn't finish the play. Marco Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Guerreiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Lages in the 8th minute of play forced Cheira FC's goalkeeper Armando Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorge Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caio Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Caio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Cheira FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Santos. After a defensive mix-up in Fontao FC's zone, Jorge Santarém stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caio Castro came out of the goal and Jorge Santarém tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Azeredo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Gonçalves in the 48th minute of play forced Fontao FC's goalkeeper Caio Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vasco Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Fontao FC's Pedro Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fontao FC's Fábio Lages in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cheira FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jorge Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Caio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Santarém struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Caio Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheira FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Joaquim Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emanuel Azeredo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fontao FC's protests and gave Emanuel Azeredo a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Fontao FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Azeredo. The supporters of Cheira FC booed when Fontao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Azeredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Queirós, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Leonardo Fiúza kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The audience cheered loudly when Jacinto Queirós's long shot in the 79th minute became 0-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Caio Castro. 82 minutes into the game, Cheira FC's Jorge Santarém nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Armando Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Morais in the 89th minute of the match. Caio Castro made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Rui Santos sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cheira FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cheira FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
