Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enzo Vidigal started the match with the kick off. Palmiro Mourão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Amado Sardinha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martinho Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Lázaro Parente kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amado Sardinha. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. PORTO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cassiano Calado to maneuver through the defense. If Carlos Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. In the 48th minute, Enzo Vidigal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Palmiro Mourão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. F. C. PORTO's Lázaro Parente got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
