Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Moutinho started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Manuel Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joaquim Azenha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, F.C BAIRRO's Manuel Valente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Morais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Moutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Joaquim Azenha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Francisco Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mentrestido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorge Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Angélico Ventura fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C BAIRRO's protests and gave Angélico Ventura a yellow card for diving instead. F.C BAIRRO's Fábio Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Moutinho in the 24th minute of play. After 27 played minutes F.C BAIRRO got a freekick which was hit by António Soveral. In the 29th minute, SC Mentrestido's Francisco Guerreiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fábio Monteiro. Fábio Monteiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Eusébio Anjos charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusébio Anjos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, SC Mentrestido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Anjos to maneuver through the defense. Abel Morais didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Azenha went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 45 minutes of play F.C BAIRRO's Angélico Ventura was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, F.C BAIRRO's Angélico Ventura got a free kick in the 46th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Jorge Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mentrestido's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Azenha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Moutinho took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio Monteiro. Fábio Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Francisco Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C BAIRRO's Fábio Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Moutinho in the 63rd minute of play. Jorge Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Fábio Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Monteiro having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Guerreiro in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fábio Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of SC Mentrestido booed when F.C BAIRRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Jorge Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mentrestido's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Manuel Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes, SC Mentrestido's João Fernandes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fábio Monteiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Mentrestido reached it. Francisco Guerreiro struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fábio Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mentrestido. When Nélson Gago was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. A collision led to F.C BAIRRO getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nélson Gago hit a great ball. Alcino Candeias charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alcino Candeias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 91 minutes into the game, one of F.C BAIRRO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eusébio Anjos was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. There was no doubt that SC Mentrestido were the better team. SC Mentrestido's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
