Gustavo Rangel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Boaventura in the 6th minute. If Zacarias Cavaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Rangel made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Manuel Boaventura sent off a good shot on target. If Vladimiro Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Cavaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When David Corte-Real fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portela FC's protests and gave David Corte-Real a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Portela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Corte-Real to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, HácáUrsos FC's Palmiro Brochado got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Zacarias Cavaco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias Cavaco might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Rangel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Cavaco ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juvenal Sousa to make the kick off. Vítor Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Corte-Real in the 52nd minute of the match. Romão Ventura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Dias having to interfere. A collision led to HácáUrsos FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Juvenal Sousa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Sousa in the 67th minute of play forced Portela FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Boaventura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gustavo Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When David Corte-Real was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. David Corte-Real kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Meira got free with Vítor Dias in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zacarias Cavaco fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 77th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. After a defensive mix-up in Portela FC's zone, Zacarias Cavaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Rangel came out of the goal and Zacarias Cavaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Juvenal Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Vladimiro Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Rangel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juvenal Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Romão Ventura hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Portela FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though HácáUrsos FC had controlled the match.
