The supporters of Corgos booed when SC Amial Progresso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Baumer didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Moniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Corgos's zone, Luís Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Moniz came out of the goal and Luís Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Coimbra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The wind increased when Nuno Costa made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Miranda in the 53rd minute of play forced Corgos's goalkeeper Manuel Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Isaias Baumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Nuno Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Amial Progresso's João Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Moniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an all-out effort, Corgos's Vicente Leal threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrique Neto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th minute, Nuno Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente Leal. The goal made the score 2-2. Vicente Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Costa in the 70th minute of play. If João Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Vicente Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Isaias Baumer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Amial Progresso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corgos the free kick. A collision led to SC Amial Progresso getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. In the 97th minute Nuno Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
