Basílio Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cláudio Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Basílio Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cândido Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Faria having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Ronqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Assis came free, but Jorge Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes, Eusébio Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castelhana FC and the Ronqueira players grew even worse after the yellow card.
