With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Lima in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higino Salgueiro saved Arrentela FC from getting behind. If João Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Almarjinho FC's Fernando Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higino Salgueiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernando Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Lima in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Higino Salgueiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sérgio Távora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sandro Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Távora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Anjos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Sandro Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Távora, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Sandro Matos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassiano Lucena in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Arrentela FC's Cassiano Lucena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandro Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sandro Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Távora in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Porto was the one to do the kick off. In the 57thth minute of the game Cassiano Lucena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almarjinho FC's Sandro Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 60 in the game by Fernando Lima from a close distance when the talented Higino Salgueiro managed to make a qualified save. Arrentela FC's players were relieved. In the 64thth minute of the game Pedro Tomé who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almarjinho FC's Sandro Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Fernando Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almarjinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higino Salgueiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Almarjinho FC's Adelino Anjos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higino Salgueiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Fernando Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higino Salgueiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrentela FC's goalkeeper Higino Salgueiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassiano Lucena in the 93rd minute of play forced Almarjinho FC's goalkeeper Sandro Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Almarjinho FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almarjinho FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
