David Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Borba in the 5th minute of the match. Tiago Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Eusébio Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the SC Vialonga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Joel Nascimento stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of SC Vialonga's defenders and the ball went out. Gafanhoeira appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Tiago Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Viegas in the 21st minute of play. After 25 minutes, Joel Nascimento made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Vialonga's Tiago Gonçalves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiago Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Viegas's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. David Amaro scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Sá, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

João Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Viegas might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Viegas ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Vialonga's Tiago Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Viegas in the 62nd minute of play. Armindo Brás hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tiago Gonçalves was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Ricardo Viegas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricardo Viegas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Vicente Borba hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes SC Vialonga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was André Paiva who took care of the corner kick. André Paiva made a great header on Gafanhoeira's corner, it was just that SC Vialonga's Tiago Gonçalves managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Amaro during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes SC Vialonga got a freekick which was hit by David Amaro. In the 72ndth minute of the game Ricardo Viegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Vialonga's Tiago Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ricardo Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Joel Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Eusébio Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Vialonga's Tiago Gonçalves got control of the ball when Joel Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Gafanhoeira's Ricardo Viegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gafanhoeira's zone, Eusébio Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Sá came out of the goal and Eusébio Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
