Manuel Gameiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reginaldo Salvado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, OS Tsubasas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teófilo Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Gafanhoeira's André Paiva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Gafanhoeira's Ricardo Viegas, in the 27th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Gafanhoeira. 34 minutes into the match, OS Tsubasas's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Viegas came free, but Reginaldo Salvado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Viegas might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reginaldo Salvado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Viegas ran back to his position shaking his head. When Manuel Faria fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OS Tsubasas's protests and gave Manuel Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes OS Tsubasas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Faria. Reginaldo Salvado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Viegas in the 41st minute of play. Ricardo Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, OS Tsubasas's goalkeeper Reginaldo Salvado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Nascimento. After a defensive mix-up in OS Tsubasas's zone, Joel Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reginaldo Salvado came out of the goal and Joel Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Viegas was the one to do the kick off. António Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. João Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Gafanhoeira booed when OS Tsubasas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Manuel Gameiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Salvado having to interfere. OS Tsubasas's Reginaldo Salvado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Nascimento in the 95th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Gafanhoeira's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Gameiro came free, but João Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gafanhoeira's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
