Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Leão in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregório Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Viela FC booed when Tokos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Cláudio Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Amorim having to interfere. In the 36th minute Fernando Carvalheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the game, Tokos FC's Luís Morais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 58th match minute, Viela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Tokos FC's Luís Morais sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Viela FC's goalkeeper Pedro Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Carvalheira. Pedro Amorim came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Tokos FC's Luís Morais. But to his dismay, Luís Morais quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 69th match minute, Tokos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas Vaz hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Neto in the 71st minute of play forced Tokos FC's goalkeeper Gregório Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarbas Vaz during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tokos FC's Jarbas Vaz got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Tokos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Gregório Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 90th minute, Paulo Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tokos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
