Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) FC Azulinhos's Joaquim Manso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xavier Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Corte-Real having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, FC Azulinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascoal Varanda to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, FC Azulinhos's goal looked a bit too open when João Correia came free, but Armindo Corte-Real reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armindo Corte-Real. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Sabrosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Ferreira having to interfere. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when João Correia sped through FC Azulinhos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armindo Corte-Real. The audience was convinced that João Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Corte-Real was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Hélder Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute João Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, FC Azulinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Lamego to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Hélder Henriques hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Correia made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Chapinheira FC's zone, Joaquim Manso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Ferreira came out of the goal and Joaquim Manso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xavier Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Corte-Real having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Guerreiro during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Chapinheira FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Guerreiro. Isidro Sabrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Manso in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Ferreira saved Chapinheira FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Manso in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidro Sabrosa struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Emílio Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Azulinhos. Isidro Sabrosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Emílio Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, FC Azulinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Maltez to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Xavier Pires could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Armindo Corte-Real however easily saved by the left post. In the 86th minute Chapinheira FC were awarded a corner. Rui Castro went to the cornerflag to take it. If Xavier Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute João Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
