After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Tobias Rijo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ALHEIRAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Rijo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Leitão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tobias Rijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Marcelo Leitão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Burga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Raposo to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Rijo scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Leitão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC ALHEIRAS's zone, Aloísio Pais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Amaro came out of the goal and Aloísio Pais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Teófilo Eiró fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC ALHEIRAS's protests and gave Teófilo Eiró a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Burga FC booed when FC ALHEIRAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teófilo Eiró didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Salvador Raposo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burga FC's Marcelo Leitão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Rijo in the 30th minute of play. Evandro Souto lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burga FC! Eduardo Arruda placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Aloísio Pais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Amaro having to interfere.
