Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vítor Leal took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Noel Pimentel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Porrais's André Campelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Alves in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match, Vítor Leal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonso Pacheco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. André Campelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Cristiano Vaz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Porrais's André Campelo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Neto in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Campelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Campelo having to interfere. Cristiano Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Vítor Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Porrais's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Vaz came free, but André Campelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Pinheiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for André Campelo. Porrais's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Porrais players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Algeraz were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Vaz was the one to do the kick off. When Luís Neto came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Algeraz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Neto couldn't finish the play. Algeraz's Augusto Gueifão suffered a sore thigh after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Silvano Portugal's late challenge caught a Algeraz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Portugal helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Neto struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. André Campelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Algeraz. Cristiano Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. André Campelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Simão Alves fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Algeraz's protests and gave Simão Alves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Simão Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Campelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Neto in the 77th minute. Afonso Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Leal in the 84th minute of play. Vítor Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Pacheco having to interfere. Afonso Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noel Pimentel might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Pacheco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Pimentel ran back to his position shaking his head. The Algeraz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Algeraz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
