The supporters of Alcobertas F.C. booed when SC Palhota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Palhota's Basílio Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dércio Soeiro in the 34th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Nuno Guarda made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alcobertas F.C.'s Adriano Gusmão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermes Malta got free with Basílio Pinto in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Alcobertas F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Palhota were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dércio Soeiro was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Adriano Gusmão managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when SC Palhota's Nuno Guarda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dércio Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. SC Palhota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermes Malta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. SC Palhota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Palhota getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bento Pedroso hit a great ball. Alcobertas F.C.'s Adriano Gusmão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Jesus in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Alcobertas F.C.'s goalkeeper Adriano Gusmão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Guarda. In the 91st minute, Bento Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Alcobertas F.C. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jesualdo Fraga hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Manuel Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Palhota walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
