Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Frederico Rego was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benfica de Gaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marrancos the free kick. Frederico Rego hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 4 minutes into the match, António Lisboa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Benfica de Gaia's Anselmo Semedo. Anselmo Semedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Marrancos's Gaspar Guarda in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Benfica de Gaia's goalie prevented a goal. Américo Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassiano Souto in the 9th minute. Cassiano Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Américo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Guarda in the 13th minute of play forced Benfica de Gaia's goalkeeper Anselmo Semedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anselmo Semedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Luís Baía sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Américo Pinheiro skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Benfica de Gaia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Hermínio Montenegro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Sacramento in the 30th minute of play forced Marrancos's goalkeeper Américo Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bento Lessa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Marrancos's Américo Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Marrancos from getting a goal against them. Anselmo Semedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Lisboa's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. António Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cassiano Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Marrancos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Cassiano Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benfica de Gaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cassiano Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Sacramento in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Frederico Rego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Marrancos's Gaspar Guarda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anselmo Semedo. Anselmo Semedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 68th minute, Gaspar Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, António Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marrancos's supporters rose to their feet, but António Lisboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Semedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anselmo Semedo came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Marrancos's Gaspar Guarda. But to his dismay, Gaspar Guarda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Hugo Sacramento came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Benfica de Gaia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Sacramento couldn't finish the play. Américo Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Sacramento in the 90th minute of play. When António Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Marrancos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Lisboa couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
