In the 5thth minute of the game Tobias Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Verde FC's Nivaldo Zarco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Vila Verde FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rodrigo Sabrosa hit a great ball. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Verde FC's goalkeeper Nivaldo Zarco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, SC Tadim's Nivaldo Zarco threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tobias Freitas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 11th minute, Angelo Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Tadim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Vila Verde FC's goalkeeper Nivaldo Zarco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarbas Torcato. Leal lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nivaldo Carreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, SC Tadim's goal looked a bit too open when Leal lago came free, but Cristiano Valverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nivaldo Carreira in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Valverde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nivaldo Zarco made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Adalberto Bacelar sent off a good shot on target. If Leal lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Vila Verde FC booed when SC Tadim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Bacelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Rodrigo Sabrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Verde FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Sabrosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Valverde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 minutes, Nivaldo Carreira made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Tadim's Cristiano Valverde tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nivaldo Carreira made a kick off. Sandro Ferreira's late challenge caught a SC Tadim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vila Verde FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sandro Ferreira hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Nivaldo Carreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Adalberto Bacelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Zarco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Angelo Paiva notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Vila Verde FC's Nivaldo Zarco. Nivaldo Zarco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute Nivaldo Carreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Valverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vila Verde FC were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after SC Tadim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nivaldo Carreira took the corner. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Tadim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nivaldo Carreira was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Verde FC's players had a chance to rest. Vila Verde FC's Nivaldo Carreira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristiano Valverde in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jarbas Torcato struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Nivaldo Zarco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Tadim. A collision led to Vila Verde FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sandro Ferreira hit a great ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Tobias Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Tadim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Tobias Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Verde FC's Nivaldo Zarco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nivaldo Zarco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leal lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes of play, Vila Verde FC's Rodrigo Sabrosa made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristiano Valverde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nivaldo Zarco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Freitas in the 93rd minute of play. The Vila Verde FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vila Verde FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
