After recieving a nice pass, SC Milhais's Guilherme Dantas tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Humberto Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Humberto Martins hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Bento Pedroso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Josué Souto. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 18th minute, Nuno Tomé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Tomé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Marques having to interfere. Alberto Anjos's late challenge caught a SC Milhais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. Alberto Anjos was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 33 played minutes Salema FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Amaral. With a little luck, SC Milhais's Josué Souto got control of the ball when Afonso Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Salema FC's Bento Pedroso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bento Pedroso made a kick off. Josué Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Pedroso's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Nuno Tomé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bento Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Bento Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Salema FC's Bento Pedroso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eusébio Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Tomé in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Pedroso in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Souto saved SC Milhais from getting behind. If Bento Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Jacinto Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josué Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The SC Milhais players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Salema FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
