João Velasques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sérgio Morais. Marecos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 61 played minutes Marecos FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Cunha. When Germano Gois came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Mexifd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Gois couldn't finish the play. If Xavier Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Morais was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Germano Gois showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 74 minute of play. Abílio Álvares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Sérgio Morais made a huge save. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marecos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Xavier Reis put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vicente Sardinha.
