In the 2nd match minute, Fitoiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heitor Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Santarém stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quintino Balsemão's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Vítor Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Ramalho having to interfere. With a little luck, Louletano's Valter Ramalho got control of the ball when João Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. When André Moutinho fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fitoiro's protests and gave André Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Valido in the 14th minute of play forced Fitoiro's goalkeeper Miguel Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Louletano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vítor Torres 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 19th minute, Patrício Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Santarém was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Louletano's zone, Vítor Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Ramalho came out of the goal and Vítor Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 played minutes, Fitoiro's Henrique Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valter Ramalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fitoiro reached it. If Quintino Balsemão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Ramalho having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Márcio Assunção was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Louletano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fitoiro the free kick. A collision led to Louletano getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Márcio Assunção hit a great ball. Quintino Balsemão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Miguel Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Torres made a kick off. Miguel Santarém was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diamantino Pacheco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 59 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quintino Balsemão got free with Miguel Santarém in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 69 minutes, Patrício Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Louletano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrício Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Torres hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Louletano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexandre Valido in the 75th minute. The corner ended in Alexandre Valido almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fitoiro's Miguel Santarém did a great save. Patrício Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Miguel Santarém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Louletano.
