Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lúcio Viana got the match started through his kick off. Jorge Póvoas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gaspar Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Caldeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Jorge Póvoas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Póvoas in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, one of Areia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Areia. The referee gave SC Defesa a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Danilo Seabra, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Areia's Gaspar Vaz. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Lúcio Viana took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Alex Caldeira to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Câmara during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro Câmara hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Inácio Sá sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Defesa's Alex Caldeira didn't even have to move. 37 minutes into the match, Areia's António Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alex Caldeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, one of SC Defesa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, Areia's Inácio Sá got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alex Caldeira. Jorge Póvoas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Póvoas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alex Caldeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Areia's zone, Jorge Póvoas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Vaz came out of the goal and Jorge Póvoas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Areia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Cláudio Domingues hit a great ball. Teófilo Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Gaspar Vaz made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lúcio Viana in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Caldeira saved SC Defesa from getting behind. Alex Caldeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Santos in the 86th minute of play. SC Defesa's Alex Caldeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Viana in the 89th minute of play. Martinho Carrasqueira charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martinho Carrasqueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lúcio Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Defesa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Areia.
