The supporters of SC Agros booed when Cuvelinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Manuel Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Neiva to make the kick off. Sílvio Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Cuvelinhas FC's Teodoro Soeiro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Manuel Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuvelinhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cuvelinhas FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Martinho Torres hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cuvelinhas FC's zone, Rui Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Candeias came out of the goal and Rui Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 97th minute Amadeu Brochado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Candeias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
