After a rather tough play, FC Sousa's Cláudio Vides got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 6 played minutes FC Sousa got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Gameiro. Benedito Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Valdemar Raminhos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match Murilo Gameiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alcides Costa skillfully saved the ball. Valdemar Raminhos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Simão Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedito Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Furtado having to interfere. The supporters of EstaFacil booed when FC Sousa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sálvio Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alcides Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. If Ademar Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Fernando Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Sousa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermenegildo Águas during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hermenegildo Águas hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by EstaFacil's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Prates was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Sousa's players had a chance to rest. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademar Vides made a kick off. Ademar Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Alcides Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Ferreira in the 66th minute.
