Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hipólito Taborda got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of SC Cela booed when Totenique FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Gaspar in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, Totenique FC's Sebastião Valente seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sebastião Valente the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Totenique FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sebastião Valente had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Totenique FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Cela:s goal. Hipólito Taborda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Ramos having to interfere. A collision led to Totenique FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. António Viana hit a great ball. When Luís Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Totenique FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Queirós couldn't finish the play. After 30 played minutes SC Cela got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Peixoto. Timóteo Menezes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timóteo Menezes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Queirós in the 35th minute of play. Roberto Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. António Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Timóteo Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Luís Queirós made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Roberto Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cela's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SC Cela's Nivaldo Bragança got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Luís Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The SC Cela support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
