Emílio Gomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amílcar Fraga. Desportivo Portugal FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Desportivo Portugal FC's Porfírio Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, André Fernandes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rui Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If André Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desportivo Portugal FC's Amílcar Fraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Fernandes in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Vítor Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Desportivo Portugal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Murtal the free kick. 28 minutes into the match, Desportivo Portugal FC's goalkeeper Amílcar Fraga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Oliveira. 29 minutes into the match, Desportivo Portugal FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Fernandes came free, but Amílcar Fraga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, SC Murtal's André Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílcar Fraga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 32 minutes of play Desportivo Portugal FC's Vítor Andrade was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Vítor Andrade hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Mário Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porfírio Setúbal in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mário Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porfírio Setúbal in the 52nd minute. In the 62nd match minute, Desportivo Portugal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Teves to maneuver through the defense. Amílcar Fraga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Fernandes went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Desportivo Portugal FC's Amílcar Fraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Fernandes in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Rui Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Fraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Fraga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Amílcar Fraga came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Murtal's André Fernandes. But to his dismay, André Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Joaquim Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Fraga having to interfere. Rui Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Amílcar Fraga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Murtal. Amílcar Fraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Murtal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Desportivo Portugal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
