Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Honorato Vasques lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to SC Tabuas getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Honorato Vasques hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Tomás Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Tabuas's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Trindade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the game, Aprígio Trigueiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Tabuas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Calvino the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Guerreiro in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Menezes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th match minute, SC Tabuas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 26thth minute of the game Amadeu Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Tabuas's Olavo Menezes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Amaral's late challenge caught a SC Tabuas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Calvino's Rafael Amaral got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tomás Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Trindade having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Calvino's zone, Catarino Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Trindade came out of the goal and Catarino Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Trindade was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abílio Onofre. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Guerreiro made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, SC Calvino's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Sousa came free, but Fernando Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Calvino booed when SC Tabuas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Estrela didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes SC Tabuas got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Setúbal. In the 62nd minute, Joel Guerreiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olavo Menezes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Mendes made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SC Tabuas's Laércio Cardoso. SC Tabuas's Olavo Menezes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Gaspar in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Morais got free with Olavo Menezes in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
