Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eusébio Tavares made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute, Adolfo Matias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Engenho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ricardo Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Carlos Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the SC Engenho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Mendes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mendes in the 14th minute of play forced Lavadores FC's goalkeeper Vasco Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th match minute, Lavadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Eusébio Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ricardo Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Engenho getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Catarino Trindade hit a great ball. Vasco Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Mendes went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ricardo Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Tavares in the 34th minute of the match. Duarte Abreu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Lavadores FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Engenho:s goal. Adolfo Aguiar walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Carlos Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Vasco Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Rocha having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Carlos Mendes made the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Matias's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vasco Rocha firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Mendes in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasco Rocha saved Lavadores FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Carlos Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Engenho's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joaquim Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavadores FC's protests and gave Joaquim Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Engenho booed when Lavadores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Matias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Vasco Rocha made a huge save. If Carlos Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco Rocha came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Engenho's Adolfo Matias. But to his dismay, Adolfo Matias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Vasco Rocha made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Adolfo Matias sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ricardo Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
