Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cancelada FC's Cristiano Bessa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Éder lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th match minute, Gaios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Barcelos to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, one of Gaios FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gaios FC. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Cancelada FC. Fábio Gomes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nicolau Ruas. 0-1. If Cristiano Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cancelada FC's Armando Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Cancelada FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd of the match, Aquilino Martins tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Armando Amaral got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Emílio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cristiano Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cancelada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Bessa couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Aquilino Martins made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Cancelada FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Nunes. In the 57th minute, Emílio Luz made a precise shot to the right of Nicolau Ruas. Gaios FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Nicolau Ruas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Barcelos's late challenge caught a Cancelada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Barcelos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Leonel Barcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Cancelada FC's Fábio Gomes tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gabriel Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Cancelada FC's Cristiano Bessa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. A collision led to Gaios FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Aristides Palha hit a great ball. Aquilino Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Gaios FC's Jarbas Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Nicolau Ruas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Bessa in the 91st minute of the match. During the 93rd minute of the match Gabriel Nunes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gabriel Nunes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gaios FC's Jarbas Amaral managed to work through Cancelada FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jarbas Amaral dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Cancelada FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
