Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 14 minutes into the game, Bruno Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Quintino Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Viana struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Quintino Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carvela FC. Corta Pilas CF's Quintino Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Viana in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carvela FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Carvela FC's zone, Lisandro Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Nunes came out of the goal and Lisandro Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Paulo Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carvela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quintino Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Araújo's late challenge caught a Corta Pilas CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Corta Pilas CF booed when Carvela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Paulo Viana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Quintino Vaz. The goal made the score 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Viana made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Varela got free with Gaspar Nunes in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Carvela FC's zone, Armindo Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Nunes came out of the goal and Armindo Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Corta Pilas CF's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Viana came free, but Quintino Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Carvela FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Correia. Paulo Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carvela FC's Gaspar Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubim Lemos in the 90th minute of play. Lisandro Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gaspar Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Varela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaspar Nunes having to make a save. Armindo Veloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaspar Nunes came out and tried to block the shot, but Armindo Veloso slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 98th minute. Carvela FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
