Humberto Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, SC Escoura's goal looked a bit too open when João Henriques came free, but Humberto Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Escoura's Bruno Esteves got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Bruno Esteves off the ground. If Rodrigo Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Escoura booed when SC Ribeirinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Nordal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SC Escoura players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Ribeirinho were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Paredes to strike the kick off in the second half. SC Escoura's Humberto Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save SC Escoura from getting a goal against them. If André Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the game, SC Escoura's Jorge Paredes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Felix Nordal hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Escoura's zone, João Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Macedo came out of the goal and João Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71stth minute of the game João Henriques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Escoura's Humberto Macedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Vale having to interfere. João Henriques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Escoura were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
