Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Spotteam's Adélio Sardinha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adélio Sardinha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gil Graça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the King United SC defense, Juliano Lages kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Graça. The King United SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Graça should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Zarco in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julião Bernardes saved Spotteam from getting behind. Cassiano Ramires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julião Bernardes having to interfere. Julião Bernardes came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by King United SC's Cassiano Ramires. But to his dismay, Cassiano Ramires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, King United SC's Gil Graça got control of the ball when Alexandre Sacadura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gil Graça was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Adélio Sardinha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adélio Sardinha really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 34 played minutes Spotteam got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Neto. Spotteam's Alexandre Sacadura got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldo Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, King United SC's Ronaldo Montenegro got a free kick in the 37th minute. King United SC's Cassiano Ramires got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Alexandre Sacadura fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 47th minute, Adélio Sardinha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cassiano Ramires made the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Neto hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Adélio Sardinha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spotteam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adélio Sardinha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julião Bernardes made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gil Zarco sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute Cassiano Ramires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julião Bernardes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Spotteam's goal looked a bit too open when Cassiano Ramires came free, but Julião Bernardes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Zarco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julião Bernardes having to make a save. Gil Zarco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Spotteam fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Spotteam players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
