Menexas's Cristiano Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Menexas's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Santos came free, but Cristiano Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Brandariz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Aleixo came free, but Humberto Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brandariz FC's Vicente Morais got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Cristiano Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humberto Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Lopes in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Menexas's Amadeu Antunes got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luís Moutinho hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Cristiano Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Moura having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Aleixo to make the kick off. When Miguel Santos came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Brandariz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Santos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Lopes in the 59th minute of play forced Brandariz FC's goalkeeper Humberto Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Álvaro Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Brandariz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Pacheco couldn't finish the play. When Brandariz FC's Miguel Santos in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Menexas's goalie prevented a goal. Vicente Morais was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Brandariz FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Miguel Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cristiano Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Morais got free with Cristiano Neto in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Menexas's Cristiano Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Santos in the 79th minute of play. Luís Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Humberto Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Miguel Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristiano Neto. That made the score 0-1 in the 88 minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Viriato Aleixo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brandariz FC's Humberto Moura. Humberto Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Menexas succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Brandariz FC had controlled the match.
