He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AOW FC reached it. Angélico Bento scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Miguel Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Avinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, SC Avinho's Miguel Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Pedro Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Pedro Parente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Tavares was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Luís Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Miguel Martins came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Avinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Martins couldn't finish the play. Miguel Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AOW FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
