Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fermelha FC's Leonel Poças started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Cruzeiro's Cristóvão Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Fermelha FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Laércio Prestes hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Leonel Poças managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fermelha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Poças was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Fermelha FC defense, Carlos Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Anjos. The Fermelha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Anjos should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute Cristóvão Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Poças took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Simões. Carlos Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Carlos Martins succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 36th playminute. Cristóvão Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermelha FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Carlos Martins scored to the left of an out of position Bernardo Anjos, making the score, 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Lourenço Sardinha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Simões having to interfere. Carlos Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Anjos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Matias Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Simões having to interfere. Rui Assis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Simões. Cruzeiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matias Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cruzeiro getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Paulo Miranda hit a great ball. Matias Santos came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlos Simões could save by the left post. When Carlos Martins came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Cruzeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Martins couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Anjos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Cristóvão Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes, Afonso Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro and the Fermelha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonso Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Cruzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Miranda. In the 94th match minute, Fermelha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Poças to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cruzeiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fermelha FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
