Academia RNC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crescido the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Crescido's zone, Alexandre Resende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Pinheiro came out of the goal and Alexandre Resende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Guarda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Pinheiro was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Alexandre Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Pinheiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Moutinho in the 19th minute of play forced Academia RNC's goalkeeper Lúcio Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Américo Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Academia RNC's Alexandre Guarda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lúcio Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Trindade in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Crescido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Valente to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Álvaro Leal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Crescido's Marco Pinheiro didn't even have to move. If Alexandre Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Moutinho made a kick off. Alexandre Resende struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Manuel Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lúcio Vaz. Academia RNC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lúcio Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Moutinho in the 74th minute of play. Henrique Trindade took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúcio Vaz. Lúcio Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Lúcio Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Araújo in the 83rd minute of play. Alexandre Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Pinheiro having to interfere. Alexandre Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marco Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play, Crescido's Fernando Cardoso made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lúcio Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Academia RNC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Crescido.
