Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Higino Pimenta made the kick off which started today's match. Atum Futebol Clube's Laércio Igrejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Pinho in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Higino Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Pinho in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Igrejas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laércio Igrejas made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Lucas Henriques sent off a good shot on target. Durval Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Durval Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Gabriel Pinho lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Laércio Igrejas. After some careless play in the Atum Futebol Clube defense, Lucas Henriques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laércio Igrejas. The Atum Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laércio Igrejas should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lucas Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malhadancha's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laércio Igrejas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laércio Igrejas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, Gil Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Gabriel Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Atum Futebol Clube's Cristiano Saldanha got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lucas Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Laércio Igrejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Martins took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Castro. Armindo Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Durval Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Malhadancha's goal looked a bit too open when Higino Pimenta came free, but Armindo Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Laércio Igrejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Gabriel Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malhadancha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Igrejas having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Malhadancha's Gabriel Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laércio Igrejas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Laércio Igrejas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Atum Futebol Clube's Higino Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Malhadancha's Gabriel Pinho in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atum Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Malhadancha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atum Futebol Clube had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
