In the 4th minute, Rui Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes Malhadancha got a freekick which was hit by Gil Miranda. Armindo Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Castilho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Gabriel Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malhadancha's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damião Ribas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Igor Castilho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Malhadancha defense, Igor Castilho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Castro. The Malhadancha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Castro should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Malhadancha eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
