Hamilton Amaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Nuno Macena made a huge save. Simão Nascimento hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Meda's Óscar Nunes got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes of play, Meda's Gustavo Oliveira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolau Aleixo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vivaldo Figueiras made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Flandes's Hamilton Amaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Macena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Gustavo Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolau Aleixo. Flandes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Meda's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Fagundes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolau Aleixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flandes's Nicolau Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Fagundes in the 61st minute of play. Gustavo Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolau Aleixo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Flandes's Vicente Porto got a free kick in the 70th minute. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Flandes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Normando Vilaça was slow to take the kick. During this time Meda's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Meda's Simão Nascimento to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicolau Aleixo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alexandre Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Flandes were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Meda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiago Vilaça took the corner. The corner ended in Tiago Vilaça almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Meda's Nuno Macena did a great save. Nuno Macena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamilton Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Vale during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 89 minutes into the match, Meda's goal looked a bit too open when Hamilton Amaro came free, but Nuno Macena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
