A sloppy throw-in by Olívio Maia in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Castrelos FC's Henrique Monteiro. Adriano Ponte kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 51 minutes, Rodrigo Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castrelos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rodrigo Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The tension between the SC Sabugos and the Castrelos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Sabugos's Bernardo Lamego got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the last second Adalberto Guarda throw himself and got hold of the ball when Joaquim Figueiredo in the 77thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rodrigo Guarda struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Adalberto Guarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castrelos FC. Marco Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Adalberto Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Sabugos's Bernardo Lamego got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Bernardo Lamego off the ground. After 85 played minutes SC Sabugos got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Lamego. The supporters of Castrelos FC booed when SC Sabugos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Guarda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto Guarda was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Rodrigo Guarda took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Adalberto Guarda to make any attempt to save it. The SC Sabugos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Castrelos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
