The Sport Clube Beira-Mar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 29th match minute, Sport Clube Beira-Mar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Marques to maneuver through the defense. Amílcar Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Herberto Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 played minutes, Sport Clube Beira-Mar's José Gomes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Herberto Prada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Clube Beira-Mar reached it. If Alexandre Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. A wasted opportunity for Sport Clube Beira-Mar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Afonso Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Delfim Branco put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Sport Clube Beira-Mar booed when JGCOACH FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herberto Prada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Macedo in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Sport Clube Beira-Mar's Amílcar Henriques made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herberto Prada was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adão Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Rui Lopes made a huge save. After having played for 76 minutes, Nivaldo Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JGCOACH FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nivaldo Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, JGCOACH FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Macedo came free, but Herberto Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herberto Prada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xavier Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee gave Sport Clube Beira-Mar a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Gomes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of JGCOACH FC's Herberto Prada. 3-0. When Alexandre Marques came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Sport Clube Beira-Mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Marques couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Sport Clube Beira-Mar were the better team. Sport Clube Beira-Mar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
