The supporters of SC Rebordinho booed when Assencada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Bettencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Assencada getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jairo Salgado hit a great ball. Joel Cunha, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Vicente Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Rebordinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Assencada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
