A collision led to Manager Zone Portugal getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Veríssimo Abrantes hit a great ball. Eduardo Godinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Júdice in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Manager Zone Portugal's zone, Augusto Cesário stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Godinho came out of the goal and Augusto Cesário tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Eduardo Godinho managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Assencada's Augusto Cesário fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Manager Zone Portugal's Veríssimo Abrantes got a free kick in the 17th minute. Augusto Cesário fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Godinho having to interfere. Assencada's Aquilino Júdice got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Cesário's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Godinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Assencada's Augusto Cesário came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Eduardo Godinho had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 31st minute Inácio Sesimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abílio Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquilino Júdice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Eduardo Godinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Valter Lamego had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abílio Meireles. Assencada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valter Lamego was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54thth minute of the game Augusto Cesário who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manager Zone Portugal's Eduardo Godinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aquilino Júdice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Godinho having to interfere. Eduardo Godinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquilino Júdice went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Abílio Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Sesimbra in the 66th minute. A collision led to Assencada getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mariano Damásio hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Valter Lamego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manager Zone Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Lamego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abílio Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Assencada's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valter Lamego fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Augusto Cesário received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Eduardo Godinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cesário in the 87th minute of play forced Manager Zone Portugal's goalkeeper Eduardo Godinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abílio Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Lamego in the 89th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Assencada got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Damásio. After having played for 93 minutes, Veríssimo Abrantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manager Zone Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veríssimo Abrantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Assencada's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
