After 26 played minutes José Amaral rounded Abraveses FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Octávio Brochado came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Abraveses FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octávio Brochado couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, João Macena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abraveses FC's Octávio Brochado got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Amaral took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Januário Prestes. Januário Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when José Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Abraveses FC's Januário Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Reis in the 57th minute of play. José Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Prestes having to interfere. Lagos FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when João Macena 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. José Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, José Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Januário Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lagos FC had won after a very even match.
